My Role: As the Lead Event Host, I designed the layout and trained a new coworker, giving her tips and tricks from setup to tear down.

Event Overview: Residents chose 5-6 items from our numerous baskets of produce. They had several options, including lettuce, carrots, squash, berries, potatoes, and peppers. We also provided 3 fall recipes for them to use as inspiration.

Outcome: Although this was a grab-and-go event, we had several quality conversations with residents as they chose their products. Residents told us they loved the setup. I’ve hosted 7 events at this property, and residents took more pictures and videos at this event than any other.

Key Takeaway: Events have a more meaningful impact when they are an experience. We brought a farmer’s market right to the residents’ home and provided a sense of community, meal inspiration, and quality conversation.
